Wood Baton

TYPE: Tool
SUBTYPE: Hand Tool
CATEGORY: Striking

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Branch

BREAKS INTO: Wood Scraps

DESCRIPTION:
One of the simplest tools there is, this is simply a piece of wood used to pound things. Its additional length gives you more leverage, and the force of the blow is distributed more evenly along your hand. How well it works depends on how well it fits in your hand on one end and how solidly it connects on the other. Its durability depends on the inherent solidity of the wood and how much it has decayed.

Hammerstone

TYPE: Tool
SUBTYPE: Hand Tool
CATEGORY: Striking

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Rock
BREAKS INTO: Broken Rock

DESCRIPTION: The hammerstone is one of the simplest and oldest tools known to humans. No skill is required to make it, the only skill is in finding and selecting a good one. Durability mainly concerns the hardness and structural integrity of the rock, and efficacy mainly concerns how well it fits in the hand. Hammerstones are used for shaping other stone tools, crushing ores, cracking nuts, breaking bones, and making powders.
